- Thankyou for viewing my blogs. I am Alistair Gary Thompson (known as Gary or AGT) from County Down in Northern Ireland. I am an artist and student of boat building currently living in Lyme Regis, Dorset. I am continueing to paint but primarily for the next year I am studying at the internationally recoginised Boat Building Academy where from January 2011 I will be undertaking the build of a Herreshoff 12 1/12 Sloop by Joel White. The progress on this can be viewed on my blog herreshoffhavenbuild.blogspot.com. The Haven is to be finished by June 7th and will be available for sale to any interested parties.
