- Thankyou for viewing my blogs. I am Alistair Gary Thompson (known as Gary or AGT) from County Down in Northern Ireland. I am an artist and student of boat building currently living in Lyme Regis, Dorset. I am continueing to paint but primarily for the next year I am studying at the internationally recoginised Boat Building Academy where from January 2011 I will be undertaking the build of a Herreshoff 12 1/12 Sloop by Joel White.
